The Chicago White Sox have added some depth to their roster.
Veteran outfielder Austin Hays has agreed to terms with the White Sox on a one-year, $6-million deal, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported on Saturday.
ESPN's Jesse Rogers was first to report the news.
Hays, 30, slashed .266/.315/.453 with 15 home runs in 103 games with the Cincinnati Reds in 2025.
The 30-year-old has spent eight years in the majors, with his best season coming in 2023 with the Baltimore Orioles, when he made the all-star team.
Hays holds a career average of .262 with 631 hits and 83 homers over 682 games.
